The Giants trailed, 23-12, early in the fourth quarter and still had a shot against the 49ers, but on a third-and-11 at the Giants’ 24-yard line, Daniel Jones overthrew an open Darren Waller. On the 49ers’ next possession, they put the game away on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Brock Purdy to Deebo Samuel.
