. The Giants have added Josh Mauro to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers and placed Stacy Coley on injured reserve. Mauro, a defensive lineman, was suspended the first four weeks of the season for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing drugs. He returned to practice with the team earlier this week.

“All I want to do is just help contribute, get wins,” Mauro said on Monday upon his return. “I know four weeks seems like a long time, but it’s really not that long in the grand scheme of things. It’s keeping your body sharp, so I’m just excited to be back and if I get my number called I’ll be ready to go.”

Mauro played under current Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher with the Cardinals last season. He signed a one-year deal with the Giants this offseason.
