Giants coaches to pass catchers: Two hands!
Three times in the last two practices Giants players have attempted to make one-handed catches. Not all of those attempts have seemed necessary.
On one in particular, a pass to rookie Roger Lewis in the back of the end zone on Sunday, the coaches yelled in near unison “Two hands!” as the ball fell to the ground.
On Monday, tight end Will Tye made his one-handed attempt and later in the workout Myles White did the same, both failing with an incompletion.
It’s pretty obvious who’s to blame for this rash of lax fundamentals.
“I don’t like it,” Ben McAdoo said of the trend. “There is only one Odell [Beckham Jr.], and we like to see him catch it with two hands.”
