David Diehl, a Pro Bowl offensive lineman for the Giants, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Sunday night and was being held at the 114th Precinct in Queens awaiting arraignment. Diehl smashed his BMW into several parked cars on 35th Street in Astoria at about 8:20 p.m. and was taken into custody shortly afterward, police said. No one was injured in the incident and Diehl was in the car alone.

Diehl, 31, is the longest-tenured Giant and a 10-year veteran who has started and played in 140 regular-season games for the Giants.
