No surprises on this week's injury report...

CB Prince Amukamara (foot) was limited in practice and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Miami ....FB Henry Hynoski (neck) did not practice, but is doubtful.

T Stacy Andrews (back) did not practice either but is questionable, along with Justin Tuck (groin/neck). DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), LB Michael Boley (knee), RB Brandon Jacobs (knee), G Chris Snee (concussion) are all probable.

Tom Couglin said he'll definitely keep an eye on Tuck, adding that there always is a play count for his players. "But if the rotation is the way we expect it to be...then I think it’ll be fine.”

The head coach said he expects Andrews to "hopefully" work out Saturday morning and will make a decision on the tackle's status afterward.

Coughlin seems to be taking a wait-and-see approach before deciding what to do with Ramses Barden. “We’ll just let him go, let him work and let him see where he’s at," the head coach said, regarding when/if he'll remove the wide receiver from the PUP list. "Get him some time on the field. He hasn’t been on the field for a long time. So it’ll be some time, getting him to a point where he’s ready to go and compete. Both special teams and on offense.”

As for Prince's progress, Coughlin admitted the rookie needs time too -- but not as much as Barden. The cornerback made another key play in practice, according to the head coach. "Just a plant-and-drive on the ball and get there as the ball arrives and knock the ball out," Coughlin said. "It was (a good sign). Hopefully he wasn’t guessing.”

TC also said he did not speak to Jacobs about his Men's Fitness interview. In typical Coughlin fashion, he was curt and to the point. “I didn’t read it," he said. "I have no idea what he said.”

...Coughlin's brief presser began on a high note, though, courtesy of Y.A. Tittle's presence at practice. At some point during the morning, the head coach turned to the former Giants QB and asked, "Y.A.’ what do you think? Can you still back up Eli?"

But apparently had more grandiose plans in mind.

"He said, ‘Back up? Hell,’" laughed TC. "He thinks he’s a starter.”
