Giants, Jets practices to open stadium next week
The first football action at the New Meadowlands Stadium will be open to the public as the Giants and Jets hold minicamp workouts there next week.
The Giants' session will take place at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday and the Jets' practice will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Both events are free - including parking - but tickets are required and can be obtained through the teams' websites (giants.com and newyorkjets.com).
The Jets' morning practice Monday at their Florham Park training facility also will be open to the public. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and practice begins at 9:40 a.m. Tickets are not required, but space is limited and practice may be closed if there is inclement weather.
