Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. sees doctors for hamstring injury

Odell Beckham Jr. visited doctors Monday for tests on his nagging hamstring injury. Beckham has missed a week of on-the-field work since injuring the muscle on the first practice of training camp last Tuesday. He also missed the majority of the full team workouts in the spring with the injury.
The first-round pick had spent the last several practices watching from the sideline or working on catching passes from a machine. On Monday, though, he was not on or near the practice field.
"They had some treatments," Tom Coughlin said on Monday, pointing to the team's locker room. "They went over to the doctor."
An MRI is the most likely test that doctors will use to determine the severity of the injury and get a better idea of how long Beckham will remain sidelined. Coughlin has already voiced strong frustration over the injury.
"It's more than that," Coughlin said after Sunday's practice when asked if it is disappointing not having Beckham. "We're trying to put a team together. We saw too much of that in the spring . . . He actually looks pretty good out there moving around. We just hope it's a real short period of time."
