Giants Q&A: Big Blue managed to get info

How were the Giants keeping track of the Bears-Packers score Sunday?
Without the help of the Redskins, for the most part. The people who run FedEx Field were not providing updates on the scoreboard, which the Giants players said they took to mean that the Bears were winning. But technology trumped the Redskins' silent treatment as word was able to spread on the sideline. And when the Packers did win with about 2:13 left in the Giants' game, the crowd chanted: "Green Bay won!"
How did the Giants handle that schadenfreude?
Not well. "That shows you the state of their team that they have to cheer about us failing," Barry Cofield said. "I guess when you have no success, those are the kinds of things that excite you."
Did Tom Coughlin hear the chants?
Apparently not, because he said he didn't find out that the Packers had beaten the Bears until he got into his own postgame locker room.
Was this Cofield's last game as a Giant?
He seemed to think so by the way he was holding tight to his grass-stained jersey, refusing to hand it over to equipment managers. "I don't think it's any secret the situation I'm in," he said of his pending free agency. "I'd love to be here. This team gave me a chance. I feel like I've done everything right . . . My resume is complete. If they want me to be here, then they'll show me. But it's going to be like the Wild West when that CBA gets all figured out."
How about Keith Bulluck?
"I would love to come back here and play, but it definitely can't be the same situation," the veteran linebacker said, a nod to his lack of playing time this season while he came off knee surgery. "If I'm going to play football, I have to play. For me, it doesn't do anything to just be on a team."
Bulluck is a free agent after this season.
Did Michael Clayton catch any passes?
He caught two, the first of his Giants career. The first was a remarkable one-handed grab over the middle which he came up from and pumped his chest. Problem was, it was a 5-yard gain when the Giants had third-and-7. Oh, well.
Whom do the Giants play next?
Their list of 2011 opponents is set, presuming that the NFL plays a 16-game schedule and sticks with the same rotation it has in recent years for the upcoming season. Besides home-and-away games against their division rivals, the Giants will host the Rams, Seahawks, Bills, Dolphins and Packers and visit the Cardinals, 49ers, Patriots, Saints and Jets.
