What was up with the rotating offensive line?

The Giants used five permutations of the five-man front, starting with Shawn Andrews at left tackle and bumping David Diehl to guard and Rich Seubert to center. Tom Coughlin said he wanted as many veterans on the field as possible to battle the noise of Qwest Field. But injuries and other "events" - Andrews had to come off twice for equipment issues and Kareem McKenzie literally had a cleat fall apart on him - required Adam Koets to jump in at center for several plays.

Any injuries?

Yes, David Diehl left the game at halftime with a hip injury that will be examined further by MRI Monday. Later in the game, Koets sprained his knee; and he'll have an MRI Monday as well. Coughlin said he is "hoping against hope" that both will be able to be back for the upcoming week. While we're on the subject, Hakeem Nicks rolled his ankle late but said he'll be OK.

When was the last time Shawn Andrews started at left tackle?

Never mind started, he'd never played it in a game. He was a guard during his time with the Eagles and played right tackle in college at Arkansas. "It really felt good," he said. "I don't think I've ever been as jittery . . . only slept four hours last night, and the other five hours I was just lying there going over plays in my mind."

It didn't look as though Will Blackmon's knee hit the ground on his first punt return, did it?

"Hell, no!" Blackmon said after the game. He was ruled down at the 39 after he was hit, but it appeared he used his hands to keep his knees off the turf and continue running. The play was not reviewable because the whistle blew the ball dead.

Terrell Thomas talked during the week about getting some plays back from former USC teammate Mike Williams. Did he?

You bet. Thomas was behind Williams in the end zone and reached around Williams to break up what would have been an early touchdown. Then Thomas, while falling, managed to catch the ball for an interception.
