Giants' red zone: Barden not as flashy this year

Barden's boring camp
The Giants have had four full practices and so far Ramses Barden has yet to make a spectacular catch. Sure he's made some catches - he's also dropped a few passes - but those circus-worthy grabs that dazzled the training camp crowds last year have yet to show up.
"It's still early though," Barden said.
The second-year receiver noted that it's not his fault that he's not jumping and diving and reaching for passes this summer. He blames the quarterbacks for it.
"It's tough because our quarterbacks throw such good balls," he said. "I'm not going to jump out of the way of a pass to try to do something ridiculous. It's one of those things you don't think about. If the ball is up somewhere random and I have to go get it, then I've got to go get it. But usually it's right about chin high and in perfect position to turn it up and go score."
Yuck. How incredibly boring.
