Time to get it together

Tom Coughlin issued a wake-up call to the players Saturday as they stretched for their 8:30 a.m. practice.

"This is the ninth practice!" he shouted. "Show me what you got! This better look like number nine!"

As the Giants complete their first week in Albany, the season is fast approaching. Time flies when you're having fun, but it screams by at a blistering pace when you're trying to prepare for an NFL schedule.

"I just think that everybody needs to keep in mind that we're out here, it's 60 degrees at 8:30 in the morning, and our energy level should be as high as it ever is in a training camp," Coughlin said.

"I want that enthusiasm. I want them to see the big picture. And I want them to zoom in on the fact that these days are flying by and we have to take full advantage of them right now."
