Giants Stadium press box is about to come down
If you want to see the glory and grandeur of the press box at the old Giants Stadium, you'd better hurry.
The press box will be pulled to the ground, collapsing into what used to be -- and soon will again be -- a parking lot at 8 p.m. tonight. It was the highest portion of the stadium, which is now little more than a few sections of cement risers with a big pile of debris in the middle. At one point this week there was a Gate A escalator still standing, but it was all by its lonesome.
The Giants and Jets have invited the media to come and watch this evening's show.
And no, we won't be seated in the press box at the time.
