Another day, another nearly-full practice.

Phillip Dillard was the only guy on the injury bikes. He was also doing some light jogging. How light? Well, he and PUPpy Kevin Boothe were both running and Boothe was beating Dillard.

Other than that, it looked like everyone else was there. Aaron Ross was stretching and then walked over to the trainers to point at his shoe for a few minutes, but he never took it off and returned to practice and participated in the individual drills we saw. Jason Peirre-Paul had a wrap put around his hip and groin, but he came back too. And it looked like they were trying to put some kind of a guard on the hand of Barry Cofield, but he couldn’t break away from the drills long enough for them to do it.

The Giants also had a special guest at practice; General Ray Odierno, former Commander of the U.S. Troops in Iraq. He’s a Jersey guy and a big Giants fan who has come up to Albany to see training camp and visited practices before. He spent some time chatting with Tom Coughlin early in the practice.

Figures on a day when the Giants announce captains, a general shows up.
