Giants-Vikings: Turning point of the game
It seemed as if the Vikings converted a first down and were on their way to taking the lead when TJ Hockenson caught a pass and carried a gaggle of defensive backs past the sticks early in the fourth quarter, but the ball was re-spotted a yard short of the line to gain (the Giants had challenged but it was an officials’ review). That set up fourth-and-1 from the Giants’ 16. A false start by offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw on the quarterback sneak that would have picked up that yard and the penalty pushed the Vikings back 5. They decided to kick a field goal to tie the score at 24 with 12:34 remaining, which wound up being their last points of the game.
