Giants turning point
After Olivier Vernon scooped up a fumble by Adrian Peterson and returned it 43 yards into Washington territory late in the third quarter with the Giants trailing 10-3, Eli Manning and the offense was unable to do anything with the ball. The only thing worse than a three-and-out was the four-and-out they executed, capped by a pass that went through Evan Engram’s hands on fourth-and-3 from the 32-yard line.
