Nicks: We have third receiver already

Though Nicks noted that having a third receiver will be "a big key" to the success of the offense and take pressure off himself and Victor Cruz, Nicks said he believes they already have players to do that job on their roster.
"I feel like we have guys here who can do it," he said of players such as Jerrel Jernigan, Domenik Hixon and Ramses Barden, "but it's all up to Jerry Reese and the organization and what they feel we need."
Nicks, who was signing autographs at the NFL pop-up store in Manhattan, said he and the other receivers have been working with Eli Manning. And though he said there are several players who could step into the third-receiver role, he said he's not concerned that the Giants don't have a specific player.
"I don't worry," he said. "Being a man, you always look for a challenge and the challenge is stepping up to the plate. Those three guys I mentioned, they're looking forward to the challenge."
Manning has two Super Bowl MVPs and an upcoming gig on "Saturday Night Live." But when it comes to attention in New York, the Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez drama has drowned him out.
"[The] New York Giants just won a championship, yet I'm still the third-most talked about quarterback in my own city," he told Fox News' Sheppard Smith in an interview at a banquet at Ole Miss last weekend.
The Giants gave long-snapper Zak DeOssie an extension, through 2015 . . . Michael Strahan, the Giants' second-round pick 19 years ago, will announce the team's second-round pick Friday.
