Justin Pugh will miss a second straight game with a quad strain despite some efforts to get him on the field against the Jaguars on Sunday.

The right tackle made the trip to Jacksonville with the team and was doing stretches at EverBank Field before the game under the watchful eyes of Giants coaches and medical staff. But when the list of inactive players was announced, Pugh was on it.

That means Geoff Schwartz will start his second straight game at right tackle and rookie Weston Richburg will move back into the starting lineup at left guard.

Pugh was the only injured player for the Giants who was a gameday decision. Four others already had been ruled out: DE Mathias Kiwanuka (knee), DT Cullen Jenkins (calf), LB Jacquian Williams (concussion) and G Adam Snyder (knee).

The other two inactives were coaches’ decisions and included a lineup change. The Giants put cornerback Jayron Hosley on the inactive list, the first time he’s been down this season since coming off a four-game suspension. In his place Mike Harris will likely see some snaps in the slot in sub defenses. Harris played two seasons for the Jaguars and was signed off the Lions practice squad several weeks ago, but this will be the first time he'll play for his new team … and it comes against his old team. Who says Tom Coughlin isn’t a sentimentalist?

Kerry Wynn is making his debut for the Giants today as well. The rookie defensive end likely will see some special teams work and perhaps some snaps on defense as the Giants replace Kiwankua with Robert Ayers Jr. and Damontre Moore.

Brandon Mosley is also inactive for the Giants.
