Manningham got run over by a reindeer

Mario Manningham’s knee has bothered him all season and he was a gameday decision. Today is gameday. They decided. He will not play.
Not really a surprise considering he was listed as doubtful. But it’ll still be a blow to the Giants’ offense.
The other Giants inactives: Mark Herzlich (ankle), Jim Cordle, Osi Umenyiora (ankle), Jimmy Kennedy, James Brewer and Jake Ballard (knee).
Interesting that Cordle gets the bench and Mitch Petrus gets a uniform. A few weeks ago that would have been reversed. But Petrus played well enough during David Baas’ absence to become the back-up interior lineman on gamedays. The Giants also have Tony Ugoh active as their backup on the outside. Ugoh might even have a big role as the sixth lineman with Ballard out.
As you might imagine, Jason Pierre-Paul starts for Umenyiora; Baas starts at center with Kevin Boothe at guard; Bear Pascoe starts at tight end; and Henry Hynoski starts at fullback.
