No one wants to get cut from rookie minicamp. Markus Kuhn got cut prior to it.
Kuhn, a seventh-round pick, said he injured his leg when it was lacerated last week while helping a friend move. Somehow there was a knife blade sticking out of one of the boxes. The defensive tackle has not participated in the minicamp workouts.
“We are excited about him,” Tom Coughlin said. “I just wish we could have gotten to see him a little bit out here (on the field).”
Kuhn, who was born in Germany and played at N.C. State, said he received stitches for the wound and the Giants’ medical staff told him to sit out during this camp as a precaution.
He offered advice for those who might be looking to transport boxes with knives sticking out.
“It's dangerous,” he said. “Hire people to move for you."
