McKenzie: Hopefully we can move on

Kareem McKenzie spoke yesterday about the shock, disappointment and confusion he felt as a product of Penn State University in recent days. He spoke about the arrests and allegations before we all watched the live shots of the campus last night following the dismissal of Joe Paterno as coach.

Today he said he would issue only a brief statement.

“Plain and simple,” he said. “My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all of those involved in this situation. Hopefully justice will be served and hopefully we’ll be able to move on from this point.”

Later, though, with a small group of reporters, he was asked about the events of last night.

“It’s like watching a car wreck,” he said.
