More on the Manning Cup
More about golf with the Manning Boys:
Peyton Manning was asked about their second-most-lucrative sporting pursuit today and suggested that those matches are not nearly as competitive as you would imagine.
“Eli and I are pretty good partners actually,” he said. “We usually play together if we’re playing somebody. We’re pretty good at brother-in-lawing, if you can do that as brothers I guess.”
Eli added of those golf outings: “It’s more about having laughs than grinding it out and competing. We’ve been supportive of each other. We’ve never had a real competitive relationship because we never did it growing up.”
Any other sports the two play against each other? Not really, Eli said today. Although he did make a mention of football being a team sport and not a boxing match, so it’s not really Peyton vs. Eli. That raised the question, of course. Who would win a boxing match between them?
“You don’t want to see that,” Eli said. “It’d be ugly. A draw probably.”
