INDIANAPOLIS -- Rob Gronkowski practiced on a limited basis for a second straight day Friday, another indication that the Patriots' big-play tight end will try to give it a go Sunday.

Gronkowski, who's been nursing a high ankle sprain, moved without a limp when the Patriots worked on their offensive plays, according to a pool reporter. He's officially listed as questionable.

"He practiced yesterday. He didn't do anything today," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Friday. "We'll see where he's at on Sunday, but hopefully [he'll play]. I saw no setbacks. He's still making progress."

On Thursday, Gronkowski practiced for the first time since suffering the injury in the Patriots' win over the Ravens on Jan. 22 in the AFC Championship Game.

"Rob's worked extremely hard," Belichick said. "He's gotten treatment morning, noon and night, and he's gotten better on a daily basis. Hopefully we'll be able to continue that same process today, tomorrow and all day Sunday. We'll see where that takes us, but I think he's coming along. We'll just have to see where he gets to, but we're certainly moving in the right direction and getting better on a daily basis."

The Patriots have 10 players listed as questionable: Marcus Cannon (ankle), Patrick Chung (knee), Dane Fletcher (thumb), Kyle Love (ankle), Logan Mankins (knee), Rob Ninkovich (hip), Brandon Spikes (knee), Sebastian Vollmer (flu/back/foot), Wes Welker (knee) and Tracy White (abdomen).

Deion Branch (knee), Dan Connolly (groin), James Ihedigbo (shoulder), Matt Light (flu) and Matthew Slater (shoulder) are listed as probable.

The Patriots aren't scheduled to practice Saturday.

"I think we're ready to go," Belichick said. "We've worked hard this week Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in practice, and we had good practices back last week. We went through some mental-review things out there [Friday]."
