Last week against the Colts, Adam Koets was an extra tight end used on blocking plays. This week against the Titans, he may have a slightly more inportant job.

For the second day in a row starting center Shaun O'Hara was not on the practice field and was resting the tendinosis in his Achilles and ankle. Yesterday he was in a protective boot and while I have not seen him today I would imagine he still is. If O'Hara cannot play on Sunday, Koets would be one of the options to replace him (there are others, but we won't get into the permutations).

Anyway, the point of all this is that O'Hara was not practicing. Neither was Michael Johnson (back). Mario Manningham was back after missing yesterday with an illness.

It looked like Chase Blackburn is well on his way back, though I would doubt we'd see him this week. He was stretching with the team and doing some drills to the side during special teams work.

And Phillip Dillard was doing some running on the side. HE also changed his jersey for the third time in his brief Giants career, although I guess technically he's right back where he started.

At rookie minicamp Dillard wore 55. Then he gave that number up to Bryan Kehl and switched to 53. Then the Giants signed Keith Bulluck and, well, so long 53. Dillard wore 49 throughout training camp and into the start of the season. But last week when Kehl was cut, 55 was once again available. So now Dillard is the double nickel.
