You can keep up to date with the latest in the legal battles between the NFL and its locked out players on Glauber's blog, but here's a little item that has to do with the Giants.

Osi Umenyiora is one of the players who is named in the class-action suit against the NFL, and after today’s ruling by Judge Susan Nelson to enjoin the lockout, he issued the following statement through the lawyers representing the plaintiffs:

“Today’s ruling is a win for the players and for the fans that want to see a full NFL season in 2011. The lockout is bad for everyone and players will continue to fight it. We hope that this will bring us one step closer to playing the game we love.”

It's the first we've heard from Osi since he was added to the list of plaintiffs, a move that came as a bit of a surprise.
