Hakeem Nicks did not sound very confident about practicing today when we spoke with him yesterday. "Depends on how it feels when I get up in the morning," he said of his ankle.
Well, it must not have felt great this morning because Nicks was riding the exercise bike as we left the open portion of practice today. He did stretch with the team and was catching some passes in drills, but it didn't look like he'll be doing much team stuff today. We'll get a better idea of that later.
As for Umenyiora, he was working and didn't seem to have any limitations. He did have a soft brace on his right knee.
Aaron Ross had to spend some time with trainers looking at his foot. He might still be having trouble getting into the right shoes.
Michael Johnson was back at practice. Bruce Johnson was on the bike at the start of the workout. Kevin Boss, Will Beatty and Chase Blackburn were not on the field (Beatty is having surgery today).
The Giants were working on some punting. It was pretty windy, but there were some scary kicks off the foot (or shin or knee or wherever they bounced from) of Matt Dodge. One of them he almost put over a fence that runs along the side of the field.
He won't have to worry about the wind in Indy. But if he doesn't punt well there, he might not have to worry about the wind period.
