One of the big storylines this week will be Shawn Andrews' return to Philadelphia. We'll speak with him about that later today. First I wanted to pass along a quick note on Andrews that many probably glossed right over.

For a time on Sunday the left side of the Giants’ offensive line consisted of Andrews at tackle and rookie Mitch Petrus at guard. While it may seem an unremarkable pairing, it was actually a chance for two guys who played at the University of Arkansas to be shoulder-to-shoulder. But it was actually a dream come true for Petrus.

“Growing up, Shawn was my hero,” said Petrus, who was raised in Arkansas and followed Andrews to play for the Razorbacks. “He was a guy I always looked up to. He was a beast, a big guy, he used to maul people in college. Now it’s surreal that I get to play next to him at the next level … It was a special moment for me.”

I didn't ask him to consider whether or not it was a more special moment than having his name announced at the draft by Vinny DiTrani.
