Kenny Phillips played for 12 snaps at this morning’s practice. It was enough to lighten everyone’s spirits as training camp trudges into its second week.

“It was definitely good to see him out there,” Antrel Rolle said. “He was excited. He was grinning from ear to ear today and we were also grinning from ear to ear for him. I’m extremely happy to see his progress.”

Added safeties coach Dave Merritt: “When he came out there for individual (drills), everyone was smiling big. Even the coaches, we were excited for him. It’s a big lift, a big boost for us.”
