Clint Sintim looks back on his rookie year and realizes it was a lost opportunity. He didn't take the job seriously enough, appreciate the opportunity in front of him. And he's vowing not to let that happen again.

"I earned everything I got last year, which was not a lot," Sintim said Tuesday. "This year is a different year."

He's penciled in as the starting strong-side linebacker and has been essentially told that it's his job to lose. He says he won't do that. He's recommitted and wants to show the Giants they made good decisions by drafting him in the second round and made him a starter now.

"I want to earn their trust," he said. "They gave [the job] to me, but to me it's more about earning it."

"Our expectations are very high for Clint," Tom Coughlin said. "We are all pulling for him that this will be a big year for him."

Feagles pitching in

A month after retiring and saying he had no interest in full-time coaching, former punter Jeff Feagles was at minicamp working with his two potential replacements: Jy Bond and Matt Dodge. He said he'll be back Wednesday, as well.

"Just working on fundamentals, that's what they have to do better at," Feagles said of his pupils.

Feagles said he will continue to work with them in the offseason. He said he would like to work "more than one or two days in a row" at training camp, and hinted at helping into the season. But Feagles reiterated that he has "no interest" in a full-time coaching job.
