Cofield pumped for 'Hard Knocks'
Between meetings and studying and the assorted other nocturnal activities at training camp, Barry Cofield isn't sure if he'll be able to sit down and watch the Jets when "Hard Knocks" debuts Wednesday night. But he knows that eventually he will get his chance to do it.
"Oh yeah, I'm going to watch it," he said excitedly. "With the advent of on-demand television, you can catch every episode."
Cofield was already a big fan of the show from past seasons. Now that the Jets are the stars, he's betting that the season will be one of the best yet.
"Even while going through [training camp with the Giants], it's still very interesting to see it from an outside perspective," he said. "The Jets, they have an interesting cast of characters over there starting with their head man, the ringleader. So I think it will be very entertaining."
Cofield said he wouldn't mind playing for someone as outspoken and confident as Rex Ryan someday. For now, though, he'll have to get his fix of that through the television.
