Schedule announced today
The Giants’ 2011 schedule – or at least the suggested schedule since no one can guarantee that the season will be played or that it will start on time – will be released today at 7 p.m. Of course, we’ve known since the end of the 2010 season who the Giants will be playing in 2011. So here’s a reminder of the opponents:
| HOME | AWAY |
| Cowboys | Cowboys |
| Redskins | Redskins |
| Eagles | Eagles |
| Rams | Cardinals |
| Seahawks | 49ers |
| Packers | Saints |
| Bills | Patriots |
| Dolphins | Jets |
There has been a lot of speculation that the NFL, which plans on opening it’s season the second weekend of September, would have the Jets and Giants play each other in Week 1 on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. So far it’s mostly been speculation and there’s been no official word on the possibility.
But what are your thoughts on the Jets and Giants facing each other – presumably on NBC’s national game Sunday night – on the anniversary? Would it be a patriotic homage? Or a case of the NFL and a network exploiting the anniversary for attention and ratings?
