The jersey, sure

One nugget I neglected to pass along last night was the one about some players who have switched numbers. Three of them are linebackers.

Michael Boley has switched from 52 to 59.

Gerris Wilkinson has switched from 59 to 58.

And Clint Sintim has switched from 97 to 52.

These things always take some getting used to. I was just at the point where I wasn't thinking they were playing Mathias Kiwanuka at outside linebacker whenever Sintim was on the field (Kiwanuka wore 97 for a few years early in his career before switching to 94 in 2009). Hey, Mathias said he switched from 97 to 94 because he wanted to have a better season in 2009 than he did in 2008. After going 8-8, maybe he'll switch back. 97 is open again.

Also, the newest Giants have been assigned their numbers. Antrel Rolle is 26 (which we knew already), Deon Grant is 34 (and no, that's not his age), and Jim Sorgi will wear 19.
