Tom Coughlin does not want his players reading this blog post or anything else

I don’t know which of my media brethren (and sisteren) are writing such glowing things about the Giants, but Tom Coughlin wants you to knock it off. At the very least, he wants his players to stop reading those kind comments and optimistic outlooks.

“What we really need to do now is come back in, stop reading the clippings, come back in here and go to work and get better over the course of the week,” Coughlin said.

Reading the clippings?

“Let’s go prove what we are, who we are and what we have,” Coughlin said when asked to clarify what he meant by the remark. “Instead of everybody telling us how good we are, let’s go prove something.”

So that’s it. No more gushing from me.
