Two ways Giants can clinch on Sunday, one way they can be eliminated

The Giants are focused on having to win their final two games to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs. And while it's true that two victories will secure that invitation no matter what else takes place, the Giants are not playing in a vacuum. Other teams will win or lose, leaving two ways in which the Giants can clinch a berth on Sunday, along with one scenario in which they can be eliminated from contention.

According to NFL.com, for the Giants to secure a postseason spot in Week 16 they’d have to beat the Ravens and then have three other teams with 8-6 records – the Cowboys, Vikings and Bears – lose and the Redskins (8-6) either lose or tie. Another scenario to clinch would be a Giants win along with losses by the Vikings and Bears and a tie in the Saints-Cowboys game.

The Giants would be eliminated from the playoff race if they lose to the Ravens while the Redskins and Cowboys win and the Seahawks (9-5) win or tie.

That all makes for a nice, long day of football -- and what could be a day of reckoning. Here's a look at the games that could impact the Giants' fate:
