The Jets announced Monday that they have released WRs David Clowney and Patrick Turner.

It's no surprise the team had to make a roster move now that their best receiver -- Santonio Holmes -- is available to play. His four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy is now complete and he's set to rejoin the team today.

This is the second time Clowney has been let go. He was cut after the preseason, but was brought back in the middle of September.

The Jets also re-signed Howard Green, who was signed after nose tackle Kris Jenkins was lost to a season-ending knee injury, but was released Thursday to make room for Trevor Pryce.

Details to come after Rex Ryan's press conference this afternoon.
