Darrelle Revis out for Sunday's game
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Darrelle Revis will not play in Sunday's road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jets head coach Rex Ryan said after practice Friday.
Revis had worked out with the defensive backs and then participated in team drills earlier Friday, but his status was in doubt until this afternoon.
Revis suffered a concussion in last Sunday’s win over the Bills. He had been running and lifting weights the past two days, but Friday was the first time he took part in physical activity.
Tight end Dustin Keller and defensive end/linebacker Bryan Thomas will not play Sunday. Keller, who missed Thursday’s practice with a hamstring injury, was not on the field with the Jets on Friday morning.
To that end, the Jets signed tight end Dedrick Epps from the Chicago’ practice squad to their active roster Friday. Also, Jeremy Kerley (lower back) and defensive tackle Sione Po’uha (lower back) were practicing.
