Dowtin out; McKnight, Powell expected to play

The Jets announced Saturday that linebacker Marcus Dowtin will not travel to St. Louis with the team and is out for Sunday's game against St. Louis.
The rookie linebacker was not on the injury report this week. He has two tackles in three games.

It appears RB Bilal Powell (concussion) and RB/KR Joe McKnight (high ankle sprain) will face the Rams. Powell was limited in practice Friday -- the first day he's been able to participate since suffering the injury last week in Seattle. McKnight last played against Miami on Oct. 28.
Cornerback Ellis Lankster also appears headed to St. Louis. The defensive back tweeted earlier in the day that his girlfriend had given birth to a daughter.
