Giants doc to perform Revis' surgery

It might seem surprising to some that Darrelle Revis' knee surgery will be performed Tuesday by Giants team doctor Russell Warren -- but it's really not. This sort of thing happens all the time.
Even Giants coach Tom Coughlin wasn't surprised when informed that the Jets' All-Pro cornerback sought out his team's physician.
"I don’t think it’s odd at all," Coughlin said Monday, following the Giants' road win against the 49ers. "I did not know about this, nor would I spend a lot of time thinking about it. We’ve always considered [Warren] to be the best in the business. For someone to make a decision that Russ Warren would perform the surgery, that doesn't surprise me."
