OFFENSE

C+Mark Sanchez will get most of the credit after that game-winning, five-play, 51-yard drive. Sanchez was 19-for-32 for 165 yards and a TD. He spread the ball to 10 different receivers en route to recording his ninth career fourth-quarter comeback. But Shonn Greene was the star, rushing for 88 yards and three TDs. The Jets were 4-for-13 on third downs and had a few head-scratching penalties.

DEFENSE

BRex Ryan's prideful unit finally got the type of closing effort they had been seeking for a while. Aaron Maybin helped them finish off the Redskins with that late fourth-quarter strip sack. Marcus Dixon also came up with a heady play, forcing a Roy Helu fumble in the third quarter. Helu had a big first half, though, with 63 yards and a TD on 11 carries. He had 100 yards for the game. The Jets also couldn't stop tight end Fred Davis early on.

SPECIAL TEAMS

C-The only reason Mike Westhoff's unit doesn't get a failing grade is because Nick Folk made a 45-yard field goal in the second quarter. But he also missed a 40-yarder midway through the third quarter that would've given the Jets their first lead of the game. Jeremy Kerley's muffed punt return at the Jets' 18-yard line late in the first half marked the fourth straight game the Jets' have turned the ball over on special teams. His gaffe led to the Jets putting Jim Leonhard back to return punts.

COACHING

ARex Ryan went to offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and asked to implement some Wildcat into their scheme, and the plan worked. Ryan also had a solid game with his challenges, winning both. His decision to challenge Fred Davis' potential 27-yard catch in the second quarter was smart as the TE was ruled to not have gotten both feet in bounds. Washington would've had the ball at the Jets' 34. Ryan also got it right when he challenged a third-quarter Helu fumble recovered by Eric Smith at the Redskins' 28.
