The Jets are minutes away from taking the field for their preseason opener here at Reliant Stadium, site of Mark Sanchez's first career regular-season start as a pro.

No, that wasn't the day Sanchez wanted to fight Rex Ryan.

Anyway, Sanchez and the rest of the starters are expected to play roughly a quarter before taking a seat for the night. There aren't any surprises to those not dressing for the Jets, which includes WR Plaxico Burress, C Nick Mangold, QB Mark Brunell, RG Brandon Moore, G Trevor Canfield and LB Brandon Long.

Derrick Mason gets the start at wideout opposite Santonio Holmes. Rob Turner starts at center for the injured Mangold (stinger), and last year's second-round pick Vladimir Ducasse gets the nod at RG for Moore.

As for the Texans, you won't be seeing noteables WR Andre Johnson, RB Arian Foster, RB Steve Slaton, ILB Brian Cushing and CB Johnathan Joseph.
