Four winners of the Jets' "Iron Man" awards voted by the players were given the day off from practice, including LB Bart Scott, DT Mike DeVito, TE Matt Mulligan and RG Brandon Moore. For Moore, who is known to his teammates as "Meat," it marked the first healthy scratch from practice of his eight-year career.
In his honor, Moore's teammates erected a shrine. "We were so happy for [Moore], we figured it needed to be celebrated," Nick Mangold said. "So, today is 'National Meat Day.' "
