If Pryce returns, it would be only for Jets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Trevor Pryce hasn't decided whether to play a 15th NFL season. If he does, though, there's only one team he has in mind.
"The only team I'll play for is this team," Pryce said, referring to the Jets. "I know they want me to come back, but I don't know yet. We'll see."
Pryce signed with the Jets on Oct. 1, a day after the Ravens waived the defensive lineman. He jumped at the chance to play for Rex Ryan again.
Throughout a relatively quiet season on the field - his sack Sunday equaled his total for the 10 games he played with the Jets in the regular season - Pryce, 35, was a philosophical voice of reason and support for Ryan in the locker room.
Pryce said Monday that he's physically prepared to play another season, but he needs some time to get mentally prepared for another offseason of working out.
"It's just me; do I want to put on that weight vest, ride mountain bikes and do all the stupidness that I do?" he said. "Right now, my body's saying I want to drink beer and play some really slow tennis . . . Fourteen years, and it's like, psychologically, rigor mortis sets in. I can't even think about another training camp."
Pryce guaranteed that the Jets will be making another title run, but he just can't guarantee that he'll be a part of it.
"We came close, but we'll make it happen next time,'' he said. "And there will be a next time for this team, I guarantee you."
