FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Ines Sainz, the TV Azteca reporter whose presence at a Jets practice on Sept. 11 caused a stir and led an NFL investigation of the incidents at practice and in the Jets locker room, will return to the team's practice facility to conduct interviews in two weeks. But she won't be back in the locker room.
Sainz said at a news conference in southern California that she suggested to the NFL that she conduct her interviews on the field or otherwise outside the locker room - she said she does not want to go back to a locker room.
Sainz, who attended that Saturday practice to interview Mark Sanchez for her Mexico-based network, was subjected to cat calls and comments in the locker room. The NFL investigated the incident but did not fine the Jets.
Sainz said she will interview players from the Steelers next week, then visit the Jets and Patriots after that.
