It seemed as if everyone on the Jets' offense got involved except Plaxico Burress, who had no receptions Sunday. Why wasn't a ball thrown his way until the final quarter?

"We game-planned for them to come out and play some different coverages, a lot of single-high [safety look]," the wide receiver said. "But they actually played all two-high. So every time I lined up over the outside, they basically had a guy over the top. We basically just game-planned for a whole lot of coverage that they never ran. Sometimes it happens like that."

So was Burress ticked off that he was targeted only twice?

"It's definitely a little frustrating," he said. "I'm not going to sit here and say it's not. But I'm just out there doing what they ask me to do. Coaches are out there calling the plays and trying to get me the football and they are just lining up in coverages where they can't get the ball to me, and we're not going to force it. We are going to make the plays necessary to move the chains, move the ball up and down the football field and score touchdowns.''

What happened the first time Burress was targeted, when Mark Sanchez misfired on what should have been an easy 6-yard touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter?

"It's just one of those plays where you are just selling the run fake, and just being patient," Burress said. "I guess it kind of got away from him a little bit. Sometimes it happens. I'm not complaining or throwing a fit or anything like that. You just strap it up and get ready to go next week."

Nick Mangold left in the second quarter and he never returned. What happened, and what's his status?

The All-Pro center's right leg was rolled up on by linebacker Daryl Smith during Shonn Greene's 7-yard run in the final minute of the first quarter. Mangold had X-rays, which were negative, and is scheduled to have an MRI Monday. He was wearing a walking boot after the game and used crutches to help get around.

"Not great," Mangold said when asked how he was feeling. "But we got it iced down pretty well. It's pretty numb."

How did fill-in Colin Baxter do in Mangold's absence?

Baxter wasn't bad, but the rookie did have one mistake early in the third quarter. He snapped the ball early and it turned out to be a 5-yard loss.

"That was totally my fault," Baxter said. "Just a mental error, and obviously, you can't have that. I expect better out of myself and I'll get that cleaned up."

So Jason Hill said Darrelle Revis was overhyped and the Jaguars wide receiver didn't even play? What did Revis think about Hill being inactive?

"I was in tears that he didn't play," the cornerback said. "Like I said, with trash talking, being in these experiences in the past, if you are going to trash talk, be sure and play so you can prove yourself, and he didn't today. So I'm going to give him some advice for the future: When you do call out people, make sure you suit up and play."

Any thoughts from rookie Muhammad Wilkerson about his first career sack, which was also a safety, on the Jaguars' first possession?

"It was a great play by me," the defensive end said. "It felt great. I heard the center talk to his guard, so I anticipated that the guard was going to help the center. So I went and pressured the center a little bit, took the guard and got my hips flipped outside of him and the quarterback was there, so I went and made the play."
