The question of whether Dez Bryant has lost a step shouldn’t even be up for debate, according to Todd Bowles.

“Dez Bryant being slow is like LeBron being slow,” the Jets coach said Thursday. “You’re going to get something out of him. He’s a great player. We expect the best Dez Bryant we’re going to see.

“He’s so athletic, and he does enough that at 90 percent, he’s better than 90 percent of the receivers,” Bowles later said about the Cowboys’ star receiver. “At 80 percent, he’s better than 90 percent of the receivers.”

Bryant’s production has nose-dived since he returned from foot surgery on Nov. 1. The two-time Pro Bowler, who missed five games because of the injury, caught one pass for nine yards and had at least two drops Sunday in a loss in Green Bay. Jets safety Calvin Pryor noted on Wednesday that Bryant doesn’t have “the same closing speed” post-surgery, but added: “It’s still Dez Bryant.”

Asked on Thursday if his young safety tends to be too honest at times, Bowles smiled and said: “Calvin is learning. He’s young. He gets better every day, physically and mentally.”

The Jets coach hasn’t given away his game plan for the Cowboys (4-9), but it’s more than likely that star cornerback Darrelle Revis will cover Bryant. Asked if he believes the Jets can still ask Revis to shadow No. 1 receivers for an entire game, Bowles said: “Yeah, I think you can — and we have.”

Revis has never enjoyed discussing his one-on-one matchups in the days leading up to games, and Thursday was no different. Asked about potentially lining up against Bryant, this week’s top target, Revis said matter-of-factly: “It’s what I do every week, man.”

WR Jeremy Kerley (calf contusion), C Nick Mangold (hand), RT Breno Giacomini (hip, ankle) and OLB Calvin Pace (abdomen, knee) practiced on a limited basis and are questionable for the game, Bowles said . . . CB Morris Claiborne (hamstring) and LB Rolando McClain (concussion) did not practice for the Cowboys, while DE Demarcus Lawrence (chest) was limited.
