Jets create wine to te new stadium
Cheers, Jets fans!
The team announced Wednesday it has begun taking advance orders for its limited- release commemorative wine, Jets Uncorked. The 2008 cabernet sauvignon was created to help celebrate the opening of New Meadowlands Stadium.
Matt Higgins, the Jets' executive vice president for business operations, said the team went to Napa Valley in California and scouted eight wineries before selecting winemaker Marco DiGiulio.
The wine, made solely for the Jets, will be available for $27.99 on their website.
"We wanted it to be so good,'' Higgins said, "even a Pats fan would drink it after tearing off the label."-
