Jets fire strength and conditioning coach

The Jets have fired strength and conditioning coach Bill Hughan, according to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Hughan came to the Jets after three seasons as the Falcons’ assistant strength and conditioning coach. He spent two years with the Jets, having replaced Sal Alosi in the wake of “Trip Gate” back in 2010.
Alosi was initially docked without pay and fined $25,000 for sticking out his knee to trip Miami’s Nolan Carroll during a game on Dec. 12, 2010. He was suspended indefinitely by the team a few days later after acknowledging he ordered players to form a wall along the sideline, and resigned less than two months later.
