Jets grades
OFFENSE
C This might have been the worst 300-yard passing performance by a quarterback ever. (OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it was pretty bad). Mark Sanchez came through in the end, connecting with Santonio Holmes for a 38-yard pass to set up the final field goal. But the quarterback also had two interceptions. Even with 147 receiving yards for Holmes (his first time reaching the 100-yard plateau since 2010), the Jets still were close to losing this one. Not to mention, the running game went nowhere. Again.
DEFENSE
C Reggie Bush still might be racking up yardage against the Jets defense had he not injured his knee. The Dolphins running back churned out 61 first-half yards before he left the game with 23 seconds in the second quarter. In all, the Jets gave up 185 total rushing yards and 381 yards of total offense. There was little to cheer about aside from LaRon Landry's pick-six, Darrelle Revis' fumble recovery and Muhammad Wilkerson's nine tackles.
SPECIAL TEAMSB+ Tim Tebow's fake punt was the Jets' offensive highlight until late in the fourth quarter. Jeremy Kerley averaged 15 yards on his three punt returns.
COACHINGC+ Mike Westhoff's brilliance helps the Jets here. Offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, however, had several head-scratching calls, including their use of the Wildcat. It appeared the sleep specialists Rex Ryan hired this week actually lulled his players to sleep until the second half. But in the end, a win is a win, right?
