FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Haason Reddick could be close to ending his holdout.

The Jets and Reddick reportedly made progress this past week, and he could join the team in the coming days. Reddick has not reported for training camp because of a contract dispute.

When Robert Saleh was asked about the report Saturday, he said: “Until he’s here, he’s not. It’s good to hear, though.”

Reddick is making $14.25 million this season in the final year of his contract. He’s seeking a new or reworked deal.

The two-time Pro Bowl edge rusher, who also skipped all of the Jets’ offseason workouts and mandatory minicamp, has forfeited about $500,000 in fines and roster bonuses because of his absences. He is docked $50,000 for every training camp practice he misses.

The Jets have Sunday off. It’s conceivable that Reddick, who lives in South Jersey, will join the team Monday. Saleh said Reddick will have to go through “an acclimation period” before he can practice, but he hasn’t decided how long that would be.

Reddick was acquired from Philadelphia in April for a conditional sixth-round pick. The Jets placed Reddick on the reserve/did not report list on Thursday.

Vera-Tucker’s return

Right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker took part in team drills for the second straight day. However, the Jets will keep Vera-Tucker on a rep count as he recovers from an Achilles tendon tear suffered last October.

Vera-Tucker said there still are “a couple of hurdles to clear,” but he feels fine.

“Being back out there for camp, loving it, feeling great,” he said. “Just mentally, physically feeling really, really good. The Achilles feels really good. Never feel that in practice. If anything, it’s just typical football soreness. Good to go.”

Jets streams

Cornerback Brandin Echols (bruised ribs) will be re-evaluated on Monday, but Saleh said he’s not concerned that Echols will be out long .  .  . The Jets signed quarterback Adrian Martinez and cornerback Kendall Sheffield and released cornerback Nehemiah Shelton and quarterback Ben Bryant.
