It's been a decade since the "Monday Night Miracle," and the Jets did their part to make sure one of the most memorable moments in franchise history isn't forgotten anytime soon.

On Monday night, the Jets commemorated the 10-year anniversary of their 40-37 come-from-behind overtime victory over the Dolphins, a game that took place on Oct. 23, 2000. They trotted out some of the key players at halftime of the game against the Vikings at New Meadowlands Stadium, bringing them back for - what else? - a celebration under the lights and a Hail Mary from where Jumbo Elliott caught the tying touchdown pass to send things into overtime at old Giants Stadium.

Quarterback and Elmont product Vinny Testaverde was slated to speak on behalf of the players. Others scheduled to appear were Elliott, Hofstra product Wayne Chrebet, Fred Baxter, Anthony Becht, Shane Burton, Marcus Coleman, Jason Fabini, Victor Green, John Hall, Chris Hayes, Kerry Jenkins, Marvin Jones, Ray Lucas, Ray Mickens, Jerald Sowell, Randy Thomas and Dedric Ward.

First dibs

In his Jets debut, Santonio Holmes caught three passes for 41 yards. The first one was an 11-yard quick slant early in the second quarter. Holmes, who missed the first four games serving a suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy, caught the pass from Mark Sanchez on third down, beating Vikings cornerback Asher Allen down to Minnesota's 49.

Extra points

The scheduled 8:30 p.m. start was pushed back 45 minutes because of lightning. A severe thunderstorm rolled through the area just before 8 p.m. . . . After getting shipped to the Vikings by the Patriots last week, WR Randy Moss became the first to play in back-to-back "Monday Night Football" games since LB Keith Browner did it while playing for the 49ers and Raiders in 1987.
