FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - There's a possibility Calvin Pace could suit up this weekend against Buffalo.

"He's doing great," coach Rex Ryan said Monday of the outside linebacker, who has yet to play in the regular season because of a foot injury. "I hope he gets on the practice field. We'll see what he can do. Will he start? I don't know. But hopefully, he'll be good enough where we might be able to even use him this week."

The coach said he's also hoping that cornerback Darrelle Revis will play this weekend. But that doesn't seem likely.

"You almost have to be 100 percent or right at 100 percent to play corner or you're going to be having to face this the whole season," Ryan said. "Hopefully, we can have him this week. If not, we have to find a way to get it done."

Revis aggravated a hamstring injury during last week's win over the Patriots and hasn't practiced since.

The news on Wayne Hunter's recovery isn't promising, either. The offensive tackle, who missed Sunday's game with a shin injury, still is walking around with a sleeve on his leg, "but it doesn't seem to be getting better," Ryan said.

Linebacker Jamaal Westerman is questionable for the Buffalo game because of ankle and hamstring injuries.

Ryan backs Slauson

First-year starter Matt Slauson picked up two holding penalties in Sunday's game - including one that negated a touchdown run by quarterback Mark Sanchez. But Ryan said he thinks the Jets' new left guard "is holding his own right now."

"He got beat on one that was clearly a good call on the holding," the coach said. "The touchdown one - I think I had a disagreement with the official on that one. I think he's handled himself pretty well."

Ex-Jet Leon breaks loose

Former Jets running back Leon Washington had two kickoff-return touchdowns - one for 99, the other for 101 yards - for Seattle in its 27-20 win over San Diego on Sunday. Ryan said, "I'm glad we traded him to an NFC team."
